Valvetrain and air distribution system installation
Most of the mechanics of the valvetrain are prepared during the block assembly. We use a special pneumatic industry application tubing that is rigid with a very small amount of elasticity. This tubing needs to be molded into an appropriate shape. A short explanation of the process:
The tubing is cut to an approximated size, then it's carefully heated, carefully bent into the desired shape and rapidly water cooled to retain its shape. The curvature the tubing needs to follow sometimes requires this process to be repeated a few times. We mold the tubings so that they are also aesthetically pleasing.
After the desired shape has been achieved, the tubing is cut to the appropriate length. The valvetrain is finallized as the tubing is done and installed piece by piece.
Assembly time per V8 engine: 5 - 6 hours
