Maybe you should make category for each type of engine. For example engines for drag racing or engines for trial trucks. Hope this helps you in any way :).

here is a suggestion for future polls: what type of engine form would you prefer: inline, V, or flat (boxer)?

That's exactly right. The purpose of this poll was to see what people want and we got a pretty good picture. Luckily, rpms and power go hand in hand here, so the more rpms, the more power. :)

We're also accepting suggestions for future polls.

Here is why i think that people want what they want in their engines:

  • 61 people out of 277 want more rpms because more rpms=more speed. Also, high rpm engines can be used in Lego drag racing competitions.
  • 152 people out of 277 want more power because more power=greater ability to surmount large obstacles. Also, high power engines can be used in Lego Truck Trial competitions.
  • 4 out of 277 people want less weight because you can't do very much with less weight except for use more pieces to strengthen the body instead of having a heavier engine.
  • 60 out of 277 people want smaller size because with smaller size you can make smaller, faster cars.
