First mustang product sold

 



The building instructions are done and the first car has been picked up by the customer from germany today.

Because of the expirience making this car i have decided not to offer the car as a model from lpepower but just as a set of building instructions. Those instructions are not for everyone though, since they reqire an advanced builder that also has some tinkering/modifying skills. I'd like to hear from you how much those instructions would be worth to you. Please respond in the comments.

Update: The final price for the car was 450 euros for the lego pieces (without wheels) and 200 euros for my work. This was a steal in my opinion, but i'm happy that the customer is happy.

hi. i have a few questions about the mustang.

 

1. how does the pneumatic suspension work

2. what kind of instructions are there for it

3. how much money will the cheaper set cost

4. what comes in the box with the cheaper set

1. there is no pneumatic suspension. I just used pneumatic cylinders as shock absorbers. There's normal lego springs inside of them.

2. for now i have photo instructions, but i'm in talks  with people to have them rendered.

3. I have no idea yet. I need to see how to manufacture the wheel adapters on a larger scale first and how much those will cost me.

4. It'll be all the modified parts (all ball joints, the shock absorbers, differential, wheel adapters, usb key with instructions).

I have no idea of the price. I may choose to ship the wheels with the set, but the color is black, no choice available. Fortunately the wheels are cheap (18 euros for all 4) and are very good quality.

That's the mustang product... I'm working on it. The main obstacle is to get the wheel adaptors. I am in talks to get them 3d printed. As soon as that hurdle is out of the way, i will create the product to be orderable.
